This forest of more than 1.4 million acres, with elevations from 5,000 feet to over 12,000 feet, provides a variety of landscapes and year round recreational opportunities. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after when in camp areas. Dogs may be off lead in the forest if there is voice control. Dogs are allowed on the trails. This campground is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
