There are over 922,000 acres at this National Park offering about 95% designated wilderness, a vast variety of flora and fauna, and numerous recreational activities. Dogs are allowed (for no additional fee) in the campground, picnic areas, and parking lots; they are not allowed in designated wilderness areas, public buildings, or in boats on park rivers. Dogs must be kept on no more than a 6 foot leash, and they man not be left unattended at any time. Dogs must be cleaned up after promptly.
