Carl English Jr Botanical Garden
Carl English Jr Botanical Garden 3015 NW 54th Street Ballard, Washington
98107 206-783-7059 Get Map or Directions
This beautiful garden is located at the Lake Washington Ship Canal and Ballard Locks. After the construction of the locks, this barren land was transformed by our first horticulturist, Carl English Jr. into a spectacular botanical garden. He combined elegant English landscaping style with more than 570 species and 1,500 varieties of flowers/plants from around the world. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, but neither dogs nor people are allowed off the designated paths. They especially want dogs to stay away from the flower beds. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
