Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this large granite rock rises 128 feet and is one of the most well known landmarks along the emigrant trails. Many travelers engraved their names here giving it the nickname of "Great Register of the Desert". Leashed dogs are allowed on site; they are not allowed on the beach or in swim areas.
