As of the summer of 1999, dogs are required to wear muzzles on this train ride but not on the grounds. They provide free muzzles you can borrow. At Roaring Camp you will find daily musical entertainment (Old Western style) and a couple of outdoor cafes that serve burgers, chicken sandwiches and more. They also hold many seasonal events here like a Harvest Fair and Steam Festival. The train ride takes you into the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. This is America's last steam-powered passenger railroad with year-round passenger service. They operate daily from 11am to 5pm. To get there, take Hwy 17 to the Scotts Valley Mount Hermon Road exit. Stay on Mount Hermon Road until it ends. Turn left onto Graham Hill Road. Roaring Camp is 1/4 mile ahead on the right.
