Located in a National Forest, this park offers spectacular scenery, varied habitats and elevations, and a wide variety of land and water recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time. Keep in mind that dogs are not permitted on park trails and it may be too hot to leave them in the car. It is highly suggested that dogs are not brought to the park in summer as temperatures reach over 110 degrees, and there is poison oak, snakes, and ticks. Dogs are not allowed in the water or on any of the trails. Dogs may be walked in the campground, on walkways or roadways only. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
