This free audio cassette tour is available when you travel the Upper Sacramento River Canyon on Interstate 5, between Mt. Shasta and Anderson in scenic Northern California. The tape and its original sound track are keyed to I-5 exit signs traveling at 65 mph. The tapes tell a colorful story filled with details of more than a century of traveling and recreating in the canyon. Pick up and drop off the free "Sacramento Canyon Auto Tour" audio cassette tape. If you are traveling south on I-5, you can pick up a tape at the Mt. Shasta Ranger Station located at 204 West Alma St. in Mt. Shasta. You can drop off your southbound tape at either the Shasta Lake Ranger Station on the east side of I-5 at the Mountain Gate exit or the California Welcome Center in Anderson, located at 1699 Highway 273, adjacent to I-5. Going north, you can pick up a tape at the California Welcome Center in Anderson and drop it off at the Mt. Shasta Ranger Station. There is even an after hours drop box in Mt. Shasta.
