Thanks to one of our readers for recommending this hotel. Here is what they said about it: 'We stayed here after a clogged 4 hour drive from San Jose, CA. Mia at the front desk was courteous and friendly -- not what you always get when you are traveling with a 90 lb dog (black lab). The room was large, new and very nice. Lovely pool and Jacuzzi. A little sitting area under a patch of trees with benches. It was very warm and Mia recommended a restaurant where we could sit outside and take our dog. Castillos on 5th Street. Our extra nice waitress brought him water and us an excellent Mexican dinner. Couldn't have been nicer. All in all Mariposa and the hotel was an A+ experience.' If you take Highway 140, this motel is located about 50 minutes from Yosemite Valley (45 min. to the main gate and about 10 min. to the valley). Pets are an additional $10 per pet per night. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time.
