This 1900's, 110 acre mining park is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and educating visitors to turn-of-the-century mining with a comprehensive museum that has ongoing and changing exhibits, self-guided paths around and into the mine for a view down a 500 foot stope, a visitor center/gift store packed with books and specialty items, and by events like the annual Nevada State Mining Championships. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, in the buildings, on all the trails, and in the mine tunnels. Dogs may be off lead if they are under strict voice control and the park or tunnels are not busy. Dogs must be well behaved, under their owner's control, and cleaned up after at all times.
