A National Historic site, this former gold mine and mill once processed over $100 million of gold ore. Now a living museum, the site details the cultural and natural history of gold mining that occurred here in the early 1900’s. Educational adventure tours, seasonal gold and gemstone panning, and live demonstrations are also offered. Leashed dogs are allowed on the grounds,,, they are not allowed on the tours.
