America’s oldest county park (on the Registers of Historic Places) is a major recreation destination with one of the largest recreational open green spaces to be found in the county, a large lake, playgrounds, gaming fields/courts, a four-mile scenic drive, trails and pedestrian bridges, 2,000 cherry trees that bloom every April, and more, plus there are various special events and festivals held here throughout the year. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails; they are not allowed in buildings. Dogs must be well-mannered, leashed, and cleaned up after.
