Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge

There are 175 acres of designated National Natural Landmark at this 7,664 acre refuge. It also has some of the best shortgrass prairie in the country and a wonderful variety of bird and wildlife. Quiet, well mannered dogs are allowed on site. They must not frighten or harass wildlife in any way. Dogs must be leashed and under their owner’s control at all times.
