Evidence of a sophisticated pre-historic culture marked this 2,200 acre park as a National Historic Landmark, a United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organizations site, and a World Heritage site. A 6.2 mile culture/nature hike booklet, self-guided tour tapes, and guidebooks are available at the Information Desk or the Museum Shop. Dogs are allowed on the grounds,,, they are not allowed in buildings. They must be under their owner’s control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
