Listed as a National and Provincial Historic Site, this park tells the story of the rich and colorful past of the spirited citizens who developed this area,,, stories that come to life through the many activities, stories, exhibits, reconstructions, demonstrations, and special events held throughout the year. They also have an eatery and general store on site, but pets not allowed. Dogs are allowed on the grounds, they are not allowed in the buildings. Dogs must be under their owner’s control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
