Fort Custer Recreation Area

Covering over 3,000 acres of farm country, forests, and prairie, this park also has 3 lakes, a river, and more than 25 miles of year-round multi-use trails. In the winter there are specially planned dog sledding events. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, on the trails, and in the camp area for no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, and they must be quiet, on no more than a 6-foot leash, and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the sand at the beach, but they may be on the grassy areas.
