Glacier Bay National Park
This national park offers coastal beaches and high mountains. The way to arrive at this park is by plane, boat, or ferry, usually from Juneau. The Glacier Bay Visitor Center is open daily from May 27 to September 11, from noon to 8:45 p.m. Dogs are not allowed to be off the road more than 100 feet, and they are not allowed on any of the trails into the back country. They are also not allowed on the Barlett Trail or on the Forest Loop Trail, or in any of the camp buildings. The Visitor Information Station for boaters and campers, is open May through June from 8 to 5 p.m.,,, June, July, and August from 7 to 9 p.m., and September 8 to 5 p.m. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee, and they can be in the developed Barlett Cove area, or on any of the marked trails. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, and they must be leashed at all times, and cleaned up after.
