Description
This popular beach for windsurfing sports is located directly off of the Old Rickenbacker Causeway, which connects Key Biscayne to Downtown Miami and Brickell through an over-water highway. The beach park is located just feet off the causeway, allowing for close parking and particularly shallow water. There are concession stands on-site for food, beach chair, and umbrella rentals as well as a local windsurfing rental stand, where visitors can sign up for windsurfing lessons. Popular activities also include taking photos of the Miami skyline, paddling out on kayaks, or renting water bikes or paddleboards. The beach features two parking lots, bathrooms, showers, and security. Visitors will have to pay a few-dollar toll in order to access the Rickenbacker Causeway.
Dogs must be leashed at all times, but are welcome to splash around in the shallow water without worrying about large waves and enjoy the white sand.
