Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and one of the town’s major attractions, this historic 135 acre graveyard, rich in lore and legend, is the resting place for 2 US Presidents, the only Confederate States President, and 1000’s of pioneers of the past – all with stories to tell. Leashed dogs are allowed,,, they must be human and animal friendly. There are waste receptacles throughout the cemetery, and dogs must be cleaned up after promptly.
