Mohonk Preserve Nature
Open year-round, this mountain refuge provides over 6,500 acres of forests, fields, lakes, ponds, streams, and cliffs, has more than 100 miles of multi-use trails, and it is also one of the best premier rock climbing/scrambling areas in the Northeast. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional fee from spring through fall; they are not allowed in the park in the winter or after a snowfall. Dogs must be kept close to owners, preferably on a 4-foot to a 6-foot leash, depending on the dog due to snakes in the area. Dogs are not allowed on the Mountain House property; maps are available at the visitor center. Please clean up after your pet on the trails and common areas.
