On the National Register of Historic Places, this ”7th Natural Wonder of the World” has been amazing visitors for hundreds of years, and it took on a spectacular transformation when night illumination was added with musical accompaniment in 1927 and the ”Drama of Creation” shows were born. There is also abundant wildlife, a 1500 year old Arbor Vitae tree, and a wonderful nature trail here leading to Lace Falls. Dogs are allowed in the park and on the trails,,, they are not allowed in buildings, the museum, caverns, or at the living history village. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
