North Beach Oceanside Park - Bark Beach
The North Beach Oceanside Park is just off of US-1, between 79th and 87th streets in the North Beach area of Miami Beach. It is open from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. The spacious beach is known for being less crowded than its South Beach counterparts while still offering beautiful white-sand beaches and large sandbars during low tide. Park amenities include lifeguards on-duty, BBQ grills, picnic tables, covered benches, a covered children’s playground area, water fountains, restrooms, bike paths, and pavilions. Parking is available for a fee through the city of Miami Beach parking app or machines, as well as street parking across the street on Collins Avenue.
The North Beach ”Bark Beach” is located at 81st Street and Collins Avenue, between the 80th and 81st entrances. It is open for pooches Fridays through Sundays from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Dogs must be up-to-date on rabies shots and be leashed until they reach the off-leash portion of the beach. There is a fee that varies depending on if guests are residents or visitors.
Next to the Bark Beach is a dog park area, which separates small and large dogs (35 pounds and over/under) and features off-leash fun with obstacles and trails for dogs to explore. Doggie poop bags, water fountains, and benches are offered.
