An 80 mile driving tour takes in 4 visitor centers, numerous sites displaying original fortifications, battlefields, the Confederates largest hospital and more, plus this park commemorates major events of the Civil War with interpretive programs/exhibits, (podcast) tours, special events, and reenactments. Dogs are allowed at all the sites and on the trails, but they must be kept off the earthworks and they are not allowed in park buildings. Dogs must be under their owner’s control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
