Roan Mountain State Park

This 2,006-acre forested park features a diverse area for a variety of recreational and educational opportunities. Dogs are allowed in the campground for no additional fee; there is an additional fee of $10 (+ tax) per night per pet (up to 2 dogs) for the cabins. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time; they must have proof of vaccinations, be quiet, kept leashed or crated, and under their owner’s immediate control at all times. They are not allowed in buildings, food service or designated swim areas, or where otherwise posted.
