There are more than 20 original structures and numerous artifacts from the state’s ”City of Gold” including a hotel furnished as it was in the late 1800s. This site details what gold mining was like during that era,,, they have an interpretive self guided tour, seasonal costumed docents, and a Gold Mining Interpretive Center. Dogs are allowed on the grounds,,, they must be leashed and under their owner’s control.
