In addition to offering flood protection and refurbishment, this scenic greenway has provided a trail system on the wet side of the levee that gives a seamless connection, via 2 pedestrian bridges, between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. Off-shoot trails will lead visitors to numerous recreational activities, attractions, playgrounds, picnic areas, and much more. There are also a number of special events and festivals held along this path. Maps can be obtained at any of the 4 governing districts or online. Dogs are allowed on the trail,,, they are not allowed in buildings. Dogs must be well mannered, kept leashed, and under their owner’s control at all times.
