Some highlights of this park include marine and wildlife viewing, learning about historic structures, enjoying amazing views, and a pass by an international airport gives adventurers another feature of interest. The trail follows along the coastlines of Knik Arm and Cook Inlet and travels some 11+ miles south to Kincaid Park with mileposts every 1/2 mile. The trail is accessible at the far northeast end of W 2nd Avenue near the railroad depot and at the far southwest end at Kincaid Chalet with several connections to the trail in between. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail,,, they must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after promptly.
