BARCS is a non-profit organization. In 2005 we took over management of the Baltimore City animal shelter. Since then adoptions have increased over 1300%. We have many wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption. We are the largest animal shelter in the Balimore area handling over 12,000 animals annually. We always need volunteers.
