Gila National Forest

This forest has 6 ranger districts, covers 3.3 million acres, and has diverse ecosystems that support a large variety of plants, fish, mammals, bird species, and recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed at the cliff dwellings or on the trail to the dwellings, however, they are allowed on the other trails unless marked. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
