From the deepest river gorge in North America to elevations of almost 9,500 feet, this diverse forest of 2.3 million acres supports a large variety of plants, fish, mammals, bird species, and recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after in camp areas. Dogs are not allowed in any buildings, but however they are allowed on the trails. This campground is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
