This forest of almost a million acres is home to one of the largest developed recreational facilities within the Forest Service. It offers a diverse topography that provides for a wide variety of habitats, naturescapes and recreational activities. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended,,, they must be quiet, well behaved, be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and cleaned up after in camp areas. Dogs are allowed on the trails, but they say to use caution on the horse and ATV trails. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
