This park got it’s name from being an ancient war and trading path of the Cherokees, and now this scenic area provides a variety of land and water activities and recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended for very long and then only if they will be quiet and very well behaved. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed on the beach or in the buildings. Dogs are allowed on the trails. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground.
