Dogs of all sizes are allowed. There are no additional pet fees. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be quiet, leashed, and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on most trails in the forest. There is a trail map that can be ordered ahead or at seen at the entrances of the park. Since there is private and state owned land, where dogs are not allowed, in the park, they request adherence to the map. There are 22 campgrounds in this national forest. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
